Darius Motaghy | Graphic Designer & Artist

Darius Motaghy, a California-raised artist of Mexican and Iranian descent, was exposed to creative ideals growing up in a house full of artists. He is passionate about exploring various mediums, including Photoshop, photography, drawing, and sewing. Darius chose to pursue a BA in Art with a concentration in communication design at California State University, Northridge. 

As an artist and educator, I implement a range of mediums such as painting, sculpture, and photography. I also use digital mediums such as Photoshop and InDesign to produce prints. I have been intrigued by learning from artists of several different mediums and indulging in creating similar artworks. Within these explorations, I explore how certain elements within an artwork work together to make a cohesive piece. I use simple geometric shapes to allow the viewer to take in a comical yet thought-provoking analysis of my artistic vision. My goal as an artist is to create art that a broad audience can understand and has commentary on everyday life
